Reports from App Annie has revealed that mobile app usage surged by 40% during the second quarter of 2020. This coincides neatly with the period most of the world spent in lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic. This meant that as people were stuck inside they heavily turned to the use of their mobiles to pass the time. The impacts of COVID-19 have been felt far and wide in the technology industry.
